2 Bedroom Cottage in Suffolk
The Granary is a converted 18th Century farm building, set adjacent to picturesque farmland and just a short walk from the Stour River, making it an unrivalled and immersive Constable Country experience. With original wooden beams throughout the cottage, this charming country accommodation offers contemporary comfort, having recently completed a stylish renovation, along with classic rural features and wide views across rolling countryside. Being on the edge of Wasses Farm provides complete privacy without being isolated, making it the perfect carefree rural retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle.
The Ground Floor
Sitting Room – Light and spacious open plan room with wonderful combination of original wooden beams, log burner and contemporary finish. Comfortable sofa and two armchairs orientated around a traditional brick and wood mantle-piece and smart 42” TV. Breath-taking uninterrupted views across the Dedham Vale from three sides.
Dining Area – Wooden table flanked by built in seating centred around a large window.
Kitchen – Farmhouse style kitchen with Rangemaster, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster.
Entrance Hall/Boot Room – Generous utility area with microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Washroom – lavatory and hand sink.
First Floor
Master Bedroom – King-size bed, large hanging cupboards.
Twin Bedroom – Two full size single beds that be easily moved together to make a further king-sized bed.
Family Bathroom – Walk-in power shower, lavatory and handbasin.
Outside
Large enclosed and partially covered courtyard ensuring outside usage whatever the weather. With two sun-drenched seating areas, BBQ, table tennis and table football. Seating to the front directly looking over fields.
Local Activities in Stour Valley and the Surrounding Area
Stour Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there’s certainly not a shortage of places to go and things to see! The Stour Valley is a beautiful destination for a short break, ideal for families and couples alike. You will love using the 18th century converted farm building as a base for some fantastic day trips. The characteristic English countryside has been made famous across the world by artists such as Constable, which is still recognised today. Take a stroll through the charming quaint villages, the beautiful surrounding countryside and various traditional local pubs and eateries along the way.

Dogs Welcome
Provisions
On arrival you will be treated to a Welcome Basket containing milk, fresh locally baked loaf and cake, jar of marmalade, slab of butter, choice of two cereals and a bottle of wine to wash it all down.
The kitchen is equipped with tea, coffee, sugar, dish soap & tablets, and hand soap. For the fire we give you a generous box of logs, with lighters and kindling, and more can be requested.
All bedlinen is 100% Egyptian cotton and pillows are feather & down (two per guest). All guests also get 100% cotton towels that are large, white and generously threaded and accompanied by toiletries and plenty of loo paper.
There is an iron and board, hairdryer and ample clothes storage in drawers and on coat hangers.
