Kentwell boasts over 30 acres of tranquil space to stretch the littlest of legs in. As well as wandering around the walled gardens and expansive lawns, you can also enjoy a variety of family events including open-air screenings and special theme days. Little historians will love visiting the Tudor house too, complete with original portraits.
Alton Water Sports
If your family are water sports enthusiasts, then you’ll be drawn to Alton Water Sports Centre which is set amidst 400 acres of countryside. You can choose from a variety of water sports including canoeing, sailing or windsurfing depending on your preference. Day access passes are available for visitors, or you can also register at the training centre for some tuition.
Perhaps you’re looking to kick back and simply soak up the atmosphere of one of the prettiest seaside villages in the area? Or maybe you’d prefer to enjoy an active hike along the shingle beach? Aldeburgh will be one of your family vacations highlights, and you’ll love taking a pic in front of the town’s famous scallop sculpture. As part of Forestry England, Rendlesham offers visitors a thrilling time. You can follow cycling and mountain biking trails, explore the children’s play area or follow a leisurely family trail. You’ll love popping in at the Bear Grills café where you can pick up cake, ice creams and a selection of hot or cold food in the middle of the forest. Alternatively, you can bring your own picnic to enjoy.

There’s something for everyone at the Easton Farm Park in Woodbridge. Help your kids to understand our relationship with nature by introducing them to animals such as cows, pigs, goats and chickens. They can learn where wool comes from and understand how the different seasons affect the animals in different ways. As well as meeting the stock, the little ones can also enjoy outdoor areas including the adventure playground.
